Transition
It is with a heavy heart that I bring this news. I recently accepted an assistant swim coach position at Purdue University. I was not expecting to leave this soon but it is an opportunity that is a big next step for my career. As many of you know this club team has been a big passion project for me this past year. I have learned so much and loved building relationships with the kids, parents, and staff on this team. It is hard to walk away from. This will be my last week with the program, Our Blue vs Red swim meet will be my final session with the team.
With that said my biggest priority over the past 2 weeks has been ensuring that this club team is in a position to continue to grow and be successful. There have been multiple conversations with the board on how to move forward. We are in the process of adding new members to the board and coaching staff to ensure this program continues to flourish. Ian and Emily Randolph will oversee the month of July and make sure it continues as planned. More updates will be coming soon.
As always thank you for your support and patience with our program as we continue to grow. When I took this program my goal was to build something that will outlast any one person. I am confident that things are heading in an exciting direction. The most important thing moving forward is parent involvement, the more support and investment this team has the more successful it will be. Thank you all for the support you have given me the past year, I am excited to keep up with the development of this program.
Best Regards, James
