Hello Team,

 

I hope each of you is doing well. Keep an eye on your email over the next few weeks. We have got a lot of updates on different things coming your way. 

Team T-Shirts & Swim Caps will be Distributed Tomorrow (Saturday, 11/12).

We will be giving our team T-Shirts and Swim Caps! This a reminder that we will be charging $30 for these items. Please make a good effort to have your athlete there. If you can not make it, then please make sure your athlete asks to pick it up during the next practice they are at. We would prefer that everyone wears our team cap to our practices. If you are a parent and you ordered additional shirts then we will give them to your kid when they receive their shirt. We are so excited to hand these out. We will be doing a winter order, If you would like additional shirts please email us at [email protected] by December 1st.

Attendance

We have started taking attendance this month. It will all be recorded through our teamunify account. This is primarily for our records to keep track of the kids on a daily basis. We also are looking to do some form of an award based on attendance but we are still sorting through what that looks like. 

Parents - Please Sit Upstairs

Parents, With the High School season and the pool deck getting more and more populated we ask that ALL Parents sit upstairs in the bleachers. You can meet them on the pool deck once your child is done with practice. If you or a person is staying for practice and have trouble walking upstairs there is a Handicap ramp outside the ticket office that will lead you to the concourse. There is also an elevator inside the Cam Henderson Center. Please find one of the coaches and ask if you need it. From here on out our staff will be asking parents to observe practice from the bleachers.

Swim Shop

By the end of November, our swim shop will be up and running. Here you will be able to buy swim equipment that we recommend and exclusive team gear! We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Swim & Tri to make this happen! Once the team store is completed we will let you all know. Buying these items will help support our team and are great gift ideas for the Holiday Season!

Committee Meetings

2 Weeks ago we had our first round of committee meetings. Below is a recap of what we talked about on each call. 

 

Swim Meet Committee

  • We are looking to have an inner squad meet on the weekend of December 3rd.

  • We spoke about the Swim Meet Roles & Responsibilities that are needed to have a smoothly operated meet. Some parents have volunteered to fulfill certain roles. 

  • In our next call we will create a plan for how the meet will operate. Please look for more details coming soon.

  • Our next meeting for the swim meet committee will take place on November 21st at 8 PM. Below is the zoom link for it.

Celebration Committee

  • Another email will be coming shortly on behalf of Whitney Heatherman

  • We are looking to give out Thanksgiving Goodie Bags to all the kids the week of Thanksgiving

  • We are looking at having a Christmas Party on December 10th but are still trying to nail down an exact date. We also exploring locations and are open to suggestions. Currently, we are looking into a few churches and the Rec Center. 

  • Our next meeting for the celebration committee will take place on November 15th at 8 PM. Below is the zoom link for it.

Fundraising Committee

  • We spoke about several ideas of how we could fundraise Money. Currently, we are prioritizing finding sponsors and exploring Amazon Smile. 

 

Please Remember all parents must participate unless you paid the $100 opp out of being involved. Below is our current roster of parents and the committees that they signed up for. If your name is in Green it means you were in attendance on our first call. 

Thank you all for your patience as we continue to build this program. We have already had a lot of positive swims at High Schoo Meets & Club Meets. I am excited for more to come!
